Choctaw Amateur Radio Club (CARC) Regular Monthly Meeting was held on April 15, 2002. At the Eastern Oklahoma County Vo-Tech. A quorum was met and business conducted as follows.
The Choctaw Amateur Radio Club meeting was called to order by President Chuck Kanach, KC5EZS , at 7:00 PM. Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The secretary recorded 19 members present, with Jerry KD5GP being welcomed as a new member.
Net control for the meeting was Bill Tarkington with his new call of K3YC. He had one checkin on the net. N5VYF Richard.
Reports:

Secretary's Report- The March minutes were accepted as posted on the Club Website.

Treasurer's Report was given and accepted.

Tower- The report was given.

CORA- Bill K3YC reported about the CORA meeting.

VE Testing- A motion was made and carried, the VE testing will go to appointment only.

Silent Key- If anyone has any information on a silent key who was a member of the Choctaw Radio Club, please send Chuck, KC5EZS a message with this information.

ARRL affiliation - done. New club officers will send in a report in Jan, to renew. Members may renew their ARRL membership through the club. Please send in your renewal date and the officers will remind you.

Route 66 Special Event - Bill N9SQV will be the chairperson for this event.

Field Day- Need a chairperson.

May Coffee- The May coffee will be held at Roosters in Jones on May 11, 9:15 AM.

Technical Meeting- The tech meeting will be held on May 2nd at 7:00 PM. It will be presented by Larry K5VVD on iLink. Cookies for the technical meeting will also be brought by Larry

A motion was made to appoint Chuck KC5EZS, Bill K3YC, and Larry K5VVD as our representatives to CORA for the remainder of the year. Motion carried.

An announcement was made by OJ WB5SRX letting everyone know he still has the 2-meter J Pole antennas and that the money goes to the club treasury.
