Choctaw Amateur Radio Club (CARC) Regular Monthly Meeting was held on July 16, 2001 at the Eastern Oklahoma County Vo-Tech. A quorum was met and business conducted as follows. The Choctaw Amateur Radio Club meeting was called to order by Vice President Don Clark, KB5KWV at 7 pm. Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Members and guests introduced themselves. 14 members 3 guests. We welcomed our guests K5URM, Bill Hoag, NE5S, David Duskin and K5TT, Jim Hood. Program: The program for this meeting was presented by K5TTT, Charlie Calhoun, who is the ARRL Section Manager for Oklahoma. He explained the organization of ARRL and the importance of it to Ham Clubs and to all Hams. Following his presentation, the members asked questions. Reports: Secretary's report- The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as read in the Collector/Emitter. Treasurer's report- No report YL Report- Still going on. Web Site Report- No report Vice President's Message- CORA will save some money if members will help set up the tables on Friday at the Fair Grounds for Ham Holiday. Some members have already agreed. Old Business: Route 66- Don N5ENQ says we have permission to use the National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center, formerly known as the Cowboy Hall of Fame. We will be using a W6D call to make it different from last year. Don will be QSL manager for this. Field Day- Don't have the results tabulated yet, but the members enjoyed the time.
