They are still waiting for news about the Air Force QSO party. And the Collector/Emitter will have to raise their prices. Tower report- No report VE Testing- We have 5 VE's now. Les KB5RV and Bill KC5ICR will be putting in for VE also. Presidents comments- Will miss the November and December meetings. Kay received an email from her daughter Sheila KE4YJA, it contained her clubs newsletter. In it she challenged the membership to start listening more to the repeater, because it was just as important to listen as to be able to talk. This she took back from our meeting. It is nice to know that Tony's WB5PNH (sk) wishes have gone further than just our club. Wouldn't it be nice to see it go all across the country. Sick report- Prayers for Dave's KD5G wife Vicki to help her recover from surgery and Norm W5FLO hoping he gets better soon. Old Business: Tech Discussion Group- Because the room was taken, we changed the day to the 4th Thursday, but now the room is open. Motion made and seconded that we change the day back to the 1st Thursday of the month. Motion passed. Next discussion group will meet on November 1, 2001. Ron Earnest, W5RGT (note new callsign) said he would bring his deviation meter and spectrum analyzer for those that want to check out their radios. It was also suggested that we help those that bought TinyTrakII assemble them in the yellow Delorme GPS unit. Toby asked that we have another discussion on using a GPS. Of course you are welcome to bring along anything you have that might be of interest to the other club members. This should be a fun get together so bring along your grow-up toys and show them off. Fox Hunt- Nothing yet October coffee- The October coffee was held at Roosters Cafe in Jones instead of Bruce's as reported in last months minutes. Jones was having a parade and celebration and we were invited to go up there. 11 Members attended the coffee.
